I'm Madhusudhan Aithal. More than twenty years of building and leading engineering teams, now leading AI and platform work, shipping small products on the side, and writing down what I notice about technology and travel.
One stream of writing and projects. Technology, travel and whatever else is on my mind.
From the plains at Bagdogra to the cloud forest at Senchal, a tilting 3D map of the stops on the way, with the birds and people I met at each one.

Small apps that each solve one problem, built under benchbay.
The short version of a long career.
I've spent more than twenty years building communication and platform software, and leading the people who build it. I like systems that stay up, teams that ship, and explanations that fit on one page.
Today I lead AI and platform engineering. I also train and mentor engineers, mostly online, which is how Showhands started.
Outside work: travel, tinkering, and writing things down.
